Switch, Save and WIN - Terms & Conditions

There will be 5 separate prize draws, each with a single prize of £5,000. Each time a person switches their electricity, gas or dual fuel tariff to a new tariff(s) online through Which? Switch using the 'Switch, Save and WIN' promotional landing page, they will be eligible to enter into the current draw. Once 500 unique entries are received, the first draw will close. The second draw will take place after a further 500 unique entries are received. The process will repeat until 5 draws have taken place and 2,500 different properties have switched tariffs. The draws are subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. The prize draw promotion starts on 25 February 2010 and is open to anyone who submits a valid application to switch energy tariff(s) through Which? Switch providing:
    1. they have linked through to Which? Switch from the 'Switch, Save and WIN' promotional landing page, and completed their application to switch during the same visit to Which? Switch; and
    2. they opt in to the competition by clicking on the promotional panel provided at the end of the application to switch.
  2. Those under 18 years of age, employees of Which? and anyone living in the employee's household are not eligible to enter.
  3. Upon completing a valid application to switch energy tariff(s) online and opting into the draw, you will be entered into the current prize draw.
  4. For each unique, deliverable e-mail address of a friend or relative you provide when completing your switch application form (up to a maximum of 10), you will receive an additional entry into the draw.
  5. When providing the email address of a friend or relative, you are confirming to us:
    1. that you have their express consent for Which? to contact them by email in relation to this promotion; and
    2. that you are happy for us to tell them that we obtained their email address from you.
  6. Each draw will take place after valid applications to switch energy tariff(s) have been received with respect to 500 different properties. There will be 5 draws in total, the final one of which will take place after valid applications to switch energy tariff(s) have been received with respect to 2,500 different properties.
  7. All winners must be 'on supply' with their new energy supplier, as verified by the same. The winner will be the first person selected at random who complies with this condition from all valid entries received by the time each draw closes in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  8. The prize for each draw will be £5,000.
  9. Each draw will take place about 6-8 weeks after a valid application to switch energy tariff(s) has been received in respect of the 500th unique property for that draw. The winners will be informed by Recorded Delivery and by phone within 1 week of the draw taking place. To claim a prize you must contact us, and your claim be received by us, by midnight on the date specified in the postal notification (which will be no less than 28 days after notification). If we do not hear from you by the deadline, or you otherwise forfeit the prize under these terms and conditions, Which? may at its sole discretion select an alternative winner.
  10. By submitting an application to switch energy tariffs in order to enter this prize draw, you will be deemed to have understood the above rules and agreed to be bound by them.
  11. The decision of Which? is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Which? reserves the right to terminate the offer or to amend these terms and conditions at any time and for any reason.
  12. Which? reserves the right to feature names, photographs and towns of winners in future promotions.
  13. The promoter of the prize draws is Which? Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 00677665) whose registered office is at 2 Marylebone Road, London NW1 4DF.
